Student Journal: October 2006
Today, something dawned on me. And I want to write down something about my life at Sias and talk about my impressions of exchanging ideas with foreign teachers. When I was a freshman, I was filled with curiosity. With a smile on my face and happiness beginning to brim over, I played with my friends all the time because we had so much free time, as it were. I forgot my objective. I lost my way. I waisted a good year of time. Now, I am a sophomore. I know where I am, I know what I want to do and what I must do. Our campus has a lot of activities. Every student can train himself through them if he wants to work. But there is something I want to drive at. Though we have a glorious future before us, we must study hard. When you relax, please, do not forget your ultimate goals. Wherever you are, you should have ambition and belief in your heart. On campus, we have many opportunities to talk with foreign teachers. In the first year, I didn't know how to describe myself when talking to them. Due to my vocabulary, I didn't understand what they said, and I just said "yes" or "no" or some other simple words. I was not at ease. But now I have self-confidence to talk with them. I treat them as my friends and try my best to express my ideas, speaking in English whenever possible. I am not affraid to make up a good sentence. Just speak out. Article by: "Cloudy" - English student
