What can we learn from Culture Week?
Culture Week, which lasts from Oct. 30 to Nov. 4, includes many cultures, like China Day, East Asia Day, Africa Day, European Day, North America Day and International Day. During the week, each day has so many programs that introduce different topics. For example, there was a showing of traditional Chinese clothes on China Day, and there was an Italian festival show on European Day. Every day we find our new things and add to our knowledge of many other countries. We learn about its capital, its language, its clothes, its architecture and many other things. Through Culture Week, students learn more and more about customs and cultures. I think it’s very useful for a college student. As a college student, there are many aspects of knowledge that we need to learn. Culture Week can help us understand the foreigners more easily and can help us to learn how to communicate with others. Culture Week helps students open their eyes and helps them understand things beyond the textbooks. We can learn all of this plus more through Culture Week. We can also learn about history, habits, politics, geography, business and more. Culture Week is like a cultural vacation.
