CCTV Host, Jing Yidian, visits Sias

Monday, December 12 – Renowned CCTV Host, Jing Yidian, visited Sias International University on the 9th of December. She attended a gathering of over 1,000 students and teachers from Sias, and delivered a speech to those in attendance.

 

In her speech, Jing Yidian shared her experience of how reading had helped her. She encourage students to treasure the classics of Chinese literature. Reading, she said, would provide inspiration, wisdom, and lessons for life. This speech was followed by a Q&A session with students.

 

In a subsequent interview, she spoke about the confusion that students may face when choosing their career, the rapid development and change in the media, and other related issues. She added that she hoped that students would get interested in fields like art and culture.

 

After this, Jing Yidian was taken on a campus tour by Sias Party Secretary, Fei Hexiang, and Vice President, Liu Shuqin, where they made a detailed visit to the new Sias Library.
