2018 Graduates Employment & Entrepreneurship Conference
Wednesday, October 25 – Sias held its annual Employment and Entrepreneurship Conference on the 24th of October. The Conference was held to continue the atmosphere of employment and entrepreneurship at Sias, to strengthen students' employment prospects and guide graduates in the correct avenues of job-hunting.
Chief guests included the General Manager of TianJi HR, Kun Chi; Chairman of Zhen Lang Software, Wang Dali; Chairman of the Henan Wanbao Group, Li Hongshan; Party Secretary of the Xinzheng HR and Social Security Bureau, Xia Hongyan; and Co-founder of the Zhengzhou UU Courier, Wang Yan. Sias was represented by the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Shawn Chen, Sias President, Dr. Chen Sikun, Vice President, Liu Shuqin, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, and Assistant Principals, Sun Rujian and Guo Xuede, as well as leaders and students of relevant departments. Over 4,000 people attended the 2018 Graduates’ Employment and Entrepreneurship Conference.
The Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, delivered a speech and spoke of the growth and trajectory of employment and entrepreneurship among Sias' graduates in recent years. He spoke of the current employment situation and the available choices after graduation. Dr. Chen said that Sias would support students in their bid for employment and entrepreneurship through the Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, as well as Entrepreneurial Parks, and Alumni Associations, among other means, thereby building a diversified employment platform at the University. He urged students to develop an enterprising spirit, be aggressive when job-hunting, and be conscientious about their employment and entrepreneurial prospects.
The General Manager of TianJi HR, Kun Chi, spoke of the current employment market, the demand for talent, human resources development, and other aspects of employment and recruitment. She encouraged students to educate themselves through internships. The Co-Founder of Zhengzhou UU Courier Service, Wang Yan, who is a graduate of Sias, shared his entrepreneurial experiences and gave his guidance to the students present. At the end of the Conference the Party Secretary of the Xinzheng's HR and Social Security Bureau, Xia Hongyan, awarded prizes to college students to help kickstart their businesses.
