ZZU International College delegation visits Sias
Tuesday, April 10 – On the 9th of April, the Party Secretary of the International College at Zhengzhou University, An Limin, along with the Dean, Shi Maosheng, and the Vice Dean, Wang Guoqing, visited Sias International University. The visitors toured the Sias campus and were given and introduction to the history, educational philosophy, campus cutlure, and architecture of Sias.
The guests from Zhengzhou University met with members of the Sias leadership for a meeting on the 10th floor of the new Sias Library. Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, President Chen Sikun, and Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, were at the meeting along with members of the Party Committe Work Department, the Administrative Office, the Communisty Youth League, Sias' School of International Education, and the Department of Global Engagement.
At the meeting, Sias Party Secretary Ma Jiansheng, welcomed the guests and told them of the recent development at Sias. He spoke of the East-meets-West educational philosophy of Sias and the integration of knowledge and practice in the education. He also spoke of the use of domestic and international educational resources available to students at Sias, as well as the innovation and the entrepreneurial support provided to students. After almost 20 years of continuous construction and development, Sias has continued to produce talent, and has thereby become synonymous with the development of education in Henan province to the outside world.
The Party Secretary of the International College at Zhengzhou University, An Limin, thanked the Sias leadership for the welcome and introduction to Sias. He said that he hoped that the two universities would continue to cooperate with each other by strengthen exchanges and working together towards common goals, advantages, and development. The Dean of Zhengzhou University's International College, Shi Maosheng and the Sias President, Dr. Chen Sikun then discussed the current situation at both universities. Further discussions between the guests and the leaders of relevant departments present at the meeting centered around the internationalization at both universities as well as faculty management, student work, English curriculum, the proportion of the curriculum, the development of language studies, and the recruitment and management of foreign faculty at both universities.
