Sias Leaders carry out inspection of Campus Cafeterias
Tuesday, February 26 - On the first day of the second semester of the 2018/19 academic year, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, visited and inspected all the campus cafeterias in the interest of food safety and quality of diet for the teachers, staff, and students. Accompanying Dr. Chen were the Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Sias President, Chen Sikun, Executive President, Wang Jialin, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Vice President, Wu Hua, and Prof. Guo Junfeng. The inspection covered food safety, quality control, and cafeteria safety as well. Leaders of other departments were also present, including the Administration Office, the Communist Party Committee, Supervision & Auditing Department, Logistics Department, and Security Office.
The leaders inspected the cafeteria environment, cleanliness, disinfection of equipment, health code adherence, quality of raw food, waste disposal, and fire safety. Restaurant owners and staff working in the cafeterias are required to strictly abide by food safety laws and ensure a high standard in the interests of the teachers and students.
The leaders repeatedly stressed the importance of food safety and physical health for the stability of the university. All departments were required to abide by regulations from the Department of Education and the Provincial Government. Food safety education was also to be implemented among students and teachers.
