Sias CoB Guides Evaluation of Sino-foreign Cooperation at KII

Thursday, May 28 - An on-the-spot investigation on the assessment work of Sias University's Kansas International Institute (KII) was conducted on the 27th of May by a group consisting of Sias Vice President, Zhao Yuxin, and the heads of the Academic Affairs Office, Scientific Research Department, Office of International Affairs, Human Resources Department, and Financial Assets Department. The Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, took part in the evaluation and provided guidance to the staff involved.

 

During the on-site inspection, 5 working groups used the evaluation index system, inspected the on-site materials thoroughly, and gave detailed feedback on the problems found during their inspection. Zhao Yuxin said that staff needed to pay attention to the implications and nuances of the inspection, enrich the content, improve the materials, and support the evaluation with comprehensive reports. He also said that problems should be carefully rectified, with a rigorous attention to detail, highlighting the important characteristics for the preparation of an accurate evaluation.

 

Dr. Shawn Chen also delivered a speech, and endorsed the achievements of KII. He also spoke of the importance of content and evaluation materials. With regard to the content, he said that it should be highly detailed. He said that special attention should be given to the implementation of each observation point, so that the highlights of Sias' characteristics of Sino-foreign cooperation in the running of the school would be fully displayed. He also said that the overall planning should be unified, orderly, clear, and convenient for the experts to review.

 

With experts from the Ministry of Education to conduct on-site evaluation soon, Dr. Chen advocated the mobilization of all departments at Sias to cooperate with Kansas International Institute (KII) to jointly promote the progress of Sino-foreign cooperation at Sias.
