22nd International Culture Week – Asia Day Gala

Tuesday, November 3 – Sias University's School of International Education held an Asia Day Gala, organized by its international students, as part of Sias' 22nd International Culture Week. Sias Vice President, Zhao Yuxin, the President of Boya Residential College, Zhu Yaoxian, the President of Huanyu Residential College, Yang Jiaqing, the Deputy Party Secretary of Boyi Residential College, Duan Dongdong, and the Vice Dean of the School of International Education, Wang Jing, attended the Gala. Over 600 Chinese students, international students, and foreign teachers attended the event.

 

Zhao Yuxin delivered the opening speech and said that he hoped the International Culture Week would give students a window to the world, broaden their horizons, and continue to promote the internationalization of the university.

 

Wan Zhou, a student from Tajikistan, delivered a speech on behalf of the international students. He said that although there were different nationalities and cultures, they all shared a common goal to experience the unique cultural atmosphere at Sias.

 

The Asia Day Gala included a wide range of performances by students from Iran, Indonesia, the United States, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Pakistan. There were also performances by dance troupes, the Sias Martial Arts Association, the Taiji Association, the Roller Skating Club, street dance clubs, and community organizations.
