Sias holds First Teaching Work Meeting of New Semester
Thursday, February 25 - On the 25th of February, Sias University held the first Teaching Work Meeting of the 2021 Spring Semester in the Administration Building. Vice President, Zhao Yuxin, and Director of the Educational Administration and Research Department, Zhu Lin, attended the meeting. The heads of the Educational Administration and Research Department, Teaching Quality Monitoring & Evaluation Center, Academic Affairs Office, Human Resources Department, and various academic schools attended the meeting. Zhao Yuxin presided over the meeting.
Zhu Lin spoke of the arrangements for teaching work based on the academic majors and course creation, the ideological and political curriculum, curriculum reform, online teaching plans, personnel training plans, applications for new majors, grassroots teaching organizations, public art education, the credit system, academic tutorial system reform, subject competitions, and the integration of education and industry. The Deputy Director of the Department of Educational Administration and Scientific Research, Wang Jun, spoke of the research work centered around key disciplines at the provincial level, key university level disciplines, the establishment of innovative teams, research platforms, science & technology awards, high-level projects, and the achievements made by Sias in 2020.
The Director of the Center for Teaching Quality Monitoring & Evaluation, Qu Xiaogai, focused on the auditing and evaluation of the Bachelors degrees, professional evaluation, public curriculum evaluation, and the entire process of monitoring the teaching quality.
In conclusion, Zhao Yuxin put forward 3 ideas and objectives for teaching in the upcoming Spring semester:
- First, in accordance with the requirements of the university, the evaluation of the Bachelors degrees should be promoted;
- Second, during the continued period of the prevention and control of the Coronavirus pandemic, it is necessary to ensure the safety and stability of the campus and an orderly progression of teaching through the semester;
- Third, strengthen the management of the classroom teaching quality, and effectively improve the quality of the curriculum.
