The 2019-2020 National Cheerleading League was held from December 6 to 8 in Xuchang City in the province of Henan. Over 1,500 cheerleaders from 63 teams participated in the event. The chief guests included the Executive Deputy Director of the National Cheerleading Committee, Li Yulin; the Director of the Group Division at the Henan Sports Bureau, Zhao Jun; Party Secretary of the Xuchang Sports Bureau, Chen Hao; Director of the Party Committee of the Xuchang Sports Bureau, Liao Shaozhong; the President of City Sports School, Yuan Haidong; and the Director of the Henan Cheerleading Committee, Li Yanan.

Sias University sent 3 teams to the event (Sias A, Sias B, Sias C), led by the Dean of the School of Physical Education, He Zuxin, the Head of the Department of Physical Education, Ma Ruihua, and the Director of the Public Sports Department, Zhu Siriu, respectively.

At the opening ceremony, almost 100 cheerleaders put on a performance to patriotic songs in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. This was followed by the main competition and its performances.

The teams from Sias University won several accolades across a variety of categories in the competition including:

- First place in the Demonstration routine of Cheerleading on campus in Group C

- First place in Open Youth Group's Free Selection in Group C

- First place in Small Group Cooperation Skills (4-5 people) in Group C

- First place in Double Ball Optional Movement in Group C

- First place in Double Flower Ball Optional Movement in Group C

- First place in Group B

- First place in Double Jazz in Group A

- First place in Double Free Action in Group A

- First place in Double Jazz Action in Group A

- First place in Collective Flower Ball Optional Movement in Group A

- First place in Open Youth Group Double Flower Ball Optional Movement in Group A

- First place in Small Group Cooperation Skills (4-5 people) in Group A

- First place in Double Hip-Hop Dance in Group A

In addition to winning several awards, Sias University was also awarded the National Cheerleading Three-Star Club Award.
