The Sias leadership held a meeting in the Sias Library on September 6, to review the enrollment of students in 2019 and begin preparations for the enrollment of students for the next academic year.

The Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Executive President, Wang Jialin, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Vice Presidents, Wu Hua and Xu Shengdao, and Prof. Guo Junfeng were all present. Other leaders included the heads of the Administration Office, Party Committee Office, Education & Scientific Research Department, Supervision & Audit Office, Academic Affairs Office, Communist Youth League, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, Office of International Affairs, Human Resources Department, Financial Assets Department, Procurement & Contract Management Center, United Front Work Department, Propaganda Department, Trade Union, Logistics Department, and Security Office. The heads of the Sias Library, IT Management Center, academic schools, and residential colleges were also present.

At the meeting, Dr. Chen spoke of the successful enrollment of students in 2019 and thanked all the teachers and staff for their hard work. He said that the enrollment of students in 2019 was the first time the university enrolled students as an independent private undergraduate university, and it had yielded record numbers in terms of enrollment and admissions. This achievement was made possible, he said, by the efforts over the past 20 years and fully reflected society's recognition of the quality of Sias. With the increase in the number of students and the enhanced reputation of the university, Sias now had to focus firmly on the quality of its students by continually improving the quality of education and teaching. In closing, he said that Sias should constantly innovate, improve its working methods, be efficient, promote fairness, and thereby take the enrollment of students to a higher level.

The Director of the Admissions Office, Zhao Yujie, summarized the work carried out for admissions and enrollment in 2019 in detail. Plans for enrollment were also presented by the Dean of the School of Electronics & Information Engineering, Shen Yang, the Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Shen Na, the teacher from the School of Journalism & Communication, Li Chunli, and the Dean of the School of Physical Education, He Zuxin. Vice President Xu Shengdao said that the first year of enrollment as a private independent undergraduate university was a success as the results were remarkable. He said that he hoped that everyone at Sias would use this opportunity to unite and cooperate for the continued development of Sias.
