The Sias Group and Zheng Dong New District Administrative Committee signed an agreement to found Henan province's first school for foreign children. The signing ceremony was held in Zheng Dong New District's exhibition hall, in Zhengzhou City.

The leaders present at the signing ceremony were the Deputy Party Secretary and Executive Deputy Director of the Administration Committee of Zheng Dong New District, Niu Ruihua; Deputy Director of the Zheng Dong New District Administration Committee, Chen Pingshan; Director of the Education and Sports Bureau of Zheng Dong New District, Tian Guoan; Party Secretary of the Education and Sports Bureau of Zheng Dong New District, Wang Heng; the President of the Sias Group, and Chairman of the Board of Sias International University, Dr. Shawn Chen; and General Manager of Sias Group (China), Wang Wei. The ceremony was presided over by Chen Pingshan.

At the meeting, the Deputy Director of the Zheng Dong New District Administration Committee, Chen Pingshan, the President of the Sias Group, and Chairman of the Board of Sias International University, Dr. Shawn Chen, signed a formal agreement to found the Zheng Dong New District School for foreign nationals' children. The construction of this school will solve a problem for many expatriate workers in Henan and will promote the international business environment of Zheng Dong New District.

Dr. Shawn Chen delivered a speech in which he spoke of the history of Sias International University, founded 19 years ago. He spoke of Sias' experience in cooperative international education, thereby providing Zhengzhou City with strong support for its economic development, and making it a draw for international education as well. He said that the hiring of foreign staff at the school would help root the school in international education and aid in its growth.

The Deputy Party Secretary and Executive Deputy Director of the Administration Committee of Zheng Dong New District, Niu Ruihua, delivered a speech and spoke of how the Sias Group and Zhengzhou University started Sias International University. He spoke of this relationship, the experience in cooperative international education, and the growing regional and national reputation of the two institutions. He said that Zheng Dong New District will strive to provide the best educational services for the children of foreign nationals and to build a good reputation in Zhengzhou City.

The planned construction of the school in Zheng Dong District covers an area of 91.75 acres. The school will include preschool, primary, and secondary education.
