On October 29, Dr. Shawn Chen, President of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), and Founder and Chairman of Sias University, met with Dr. Allan Goodman, Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of International Education, United States (IIE). The two sides had in-depth discussions on potential collaboration opportunities among IIE with Sias and IAUP. Representatives of Sias Office of International Affairs attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Dr. Chen first welcomed the visit of Dr. Allan Goodman. He then introduced the history and philosophy of Sias. He stressed that since its establishment, Sias has always been committed to introducing international advanced education concepts, implementing international educational principles, and providing students with high-quality educational resources of multicultural integration.

Dr. Goodman extended warm congratulations to Sias for successfully hosting the 20th Triennial Conference of the IAUP, and to Dr. Shawn Chen on his appointment as President of the IAUP. He highly appreciated Dr. Chen's leadership and vision, and expressed his confidence that under Dr. Chen's leadership, IAUP will achieve even more remarkable achievements.

Dr. Chen expressed his gratitude to Dr. Goodman for his congratulations and said that he would spare no effort to promote the development of the IAUP. He emphasized that the IAUP is an important platform for international educational exchanges, which requires the active participation and support of educational institutions from different countries. He is willing to make use of the platform and resources of IIE to further strengthen the international exchanges and cooperation of Sias and enhance educational internationalization of the university. At the same time, he also expressed his willingness to provide support and assistance for the cooperation between IAUP and IIE to jointly promote global education cooperation and development.

Dr. Goodman agreed and said that the two sides will actively promote cooperation in educational projects, academic research, and exchanges between teachers and students. He stressed that education is a global common cause, and it is necessary for educational institutions of all countries to work together to meet the challenges and promote the sustainable development of education.

This negotiation between Sias and IIE has laid a solid foundation for the future cooperation between the two sides. Both Dr. Chen and Dr. Goodman expressed that they will keep close contact, strengthen communication and collaboration, and jointly promote the landing and implementation of the educational cooperation projects, so as to contribute to the cultivation of talents with international vision and innovation ability.
