In order to enrich the students extracurricular life, promote the construction of campus culture, stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning English, Sias English Corner Phase Three was held in the French Garden on October 18. With the theme of “My Health, My Life,” the event was jointly organized by Student Affairs Office, Administration Office of Sias Residential Colleges, Qixian Residential College, and Sias Model United Nations Association. Professor Lucy Lu, Provost and Vice President of Sias University, attended the event; Ms. Bai Meng, Director of the Student Affairs Office, Director of the Department of Student Affairs of the CPC Sias Committee, and Dean of the General College of Residential Colleges; Professor Bai Qin, Dean of School of Medicine; Mr. Zhao Zhipan, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of Qixian Residential College; and international students and Chinese student representatives participated in the event activities.

At the beginning of the event, participants quickly got acquainted with each other through icebreaker games and simple self-introductions. The host then proposed three core questions: “How do you maintain physical and mental health in your daily life?” “What are your effective ways to reduce stress?” “What resources or activities in school can help you improve mental health?” “Do you think these resources are sufficient?” and “How do you balance your studies and leisure in your busy academic schedule to ensure a well-rounded life?”

Participants then held a heated discussion in small groups to share their health experiences. The host invited representatives of each group to express their views one by one, and everyone agreed that a good habit of taking regular rests is the first step to maintain physical and mental health. At the same time, students can combine personal interests and school resources to develop healthy living styles, and seek timely support from Sias Psychological Counseling Center, education mentors, and family and friends when necessary.

2024 Sias English Corner Phase Three at Qixian Residential College has been successfully concludedthrough which participants gained a wealth of health knowledge, and also greatly improved oral English ability.
