On November 1, the First Henan International Cultural Festival for Educators and Students from China and Abroad themed “Accompanying You In YU: A Journey of Flowers and Melodies Along the Belt and Road” was held in Sias University, an event organized by the Education Department of Henan Province and hosted by the Provincial Union of Colleges and Henan Institutions Alliance for Studying in China. The gathering aimed to embrace the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the directives of the National and Provincial Education Conferences, fostering greater openness in education and active integration into the "Belt and Road" initiative. Over 900 Chinese and foreign educators and students from 52 colleges and universities across Henan Province, representing 90 countries, converged at Sias University to share their friendships and celebrate the richness of diverse cultures.

The First Henan International Cultural Festival for Educators and Students from China and Abroad was a vibrant celebration that featured a diverse array of activities. It showcased the internationalization achievements of 25 universities in Henan Province through captivating illustrations, presented exquisite handicrafts, ethnic costumes, and delicious cuisine from 37 countries and regions, including China, Pakistan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Ghana, and Mexico. During the art performance, Chinese and foreign teachers and students emotionally performed songs and dances which highlighted the unique characteristics of different countries while also showcasing the charm of China's excellent traditional culture, such as Yu Opera, Sichuan Opera face-changing, and tea art.

The First Henan International Cultural Festival for Educators and Students from China and Abroad served as a vivid demonstration of Henan's successful opening up to the outside world and the remarkable achievements in education for studying abroad. It established a platform where foreign teachers and students working and studying in Henan could display the vibrant cultures of their respective countries, thereby fostering exchanges and mutual understanding among civilizations of diverse nationalities. Furthermore, the festival played a pivotal role in deepening the bonds of friendship and trust between Chinese and foreign teachers and students, and in promoting greater mutual understanding among people from different countries worldwide.
