Wu Hua, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sias Committee, Executive Vice President, and Chairman of the Labor Union, Attended AUAP Annual Conference and Signed Multiple International Cooperation Agreements

Manila, May 22 — At the invitation of the Asia-Pacific University Association (AUAP), Wu Hua, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sias Committee, Executive Vice President, and Chairman of the Labor Union of Sias University, attended the 37th AUAP Annual Conference & 30th Anniversary Celebration in Manila, Philippines. During the event, Wu Hua signed cooperation agreements with 13 institutions, including INTI International University, SEGi University (Malaysia), Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and Vikrant University (India), further expanding Sias’s international network. Accompanying Wu Hua were representatives from Sias Office of International Affairs.  

Under the theme "Global Networks: Forging a New Era of Innovation, Diversity, and Sustainability in Academic Collaboration," the conference gathered university representatives, education experts, and industry leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region. Wu Hua engaged in in-depth exchanges with participants and formalized partnerships spanning academic collaboration, faculty-student exchanges, and joint research initiatives. These agreements will enhance Sias’s global engagement and provide broader international platforms for students’ academic development.

As Sias’s delegate, Wu Hua also participated in the AUAP Executive Board Meeting, where he joined educational leaders from the Asia-Pacific in discussions on trends in higher education, international academic cooperation, and pathways to achieve sustainable development goals. He emphasized that international collaboration is pivotal to advancing innovation in higher education, reaffirming Sias’s commitment to global partnerships in fostering academic exchange and talent cultivation.

 

During the conference, Wu Hua extended an invitation on behalf of Dr. Shawn Chen, President of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), Founder and Chairman of Sias University, to the IAUP 60th Anniversary Conference & Annual Meeting scheduled for October 13–15, 2025, in Seoul, South Korea. This landmark event will convene global higher education leaders to address critical issues such as future-oriented education, technological innovation, and international cooperation. 

This delegation underscores Sias’s proactive alignment with China’s educational opening-up policy and represents a milestone in its internationalization strategy. As a leading higher education organization in the Asia-Pacific, AUAP’s 30th-anniversary celebration provided a pivotal platform for Sias to amplify its global influence and contribute to advancing international higher education cooperation.
