On the morning of June 16, the launch ceremony of the Plug and Play (PnP) Nantong International Innovation Center and the Global Resource Matchmaking Conference were held at the Nantong International Convention and Exhibition Center. Wu Xinming, Secretary of the CPC Nantong Municipal Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of Nantong Municipal People's Congress, attended the event alongside municipal leaders Ni Chunqin, Bao Delin, and Li Ling. Rahim Amidi, Founder of PnP Global, extended congratulations via a video message. The event also gathered Xu Jieping, CEO, Managing Partner, and Executive Director of PnP China; Muhammad Rezvan, Partner of Amidi Group and Head of PnP Southern California Investments; representatives from world-renowned enterprises and investment institutions such as ZF Friedrichshafen, Mahle China, Shanghai Industrial Capital, and Weikai Venture Capital; over 20 overseas technology companies; and nearly 100 high-quality local enterprises from Nantong. Dr. Shawn Chen, Co-founder of PnP China and Founder and Chairman of Sias University, participated and delivered a speech.

During the event, Nantong's innovation ecosystem was unveiled, and a cooperation agreement between PnP Nantong and Zhongtian Technology for "external circulation and new quality innovation" was signed. The PnP Nantong International Innovation Center Council was also established.

In his address, Dr. Chen expressed gratitude to the Nantong Municipal Government and all partners for their support and trust. He highlighted that PnP, a globally renowned innovation ecosystem platform transcending geographical and industrial boundaries, has incubated and accelerated thousands of startups while collaborating with over a hundred leading domestic and international corporations and investors. Its innovation model establishes a full-chain empowerment system encompassing project discovery, mentorship, resource matching, funding expansion, and market deployment, providing comprehensive support for high-potential early-stage projects.、

He emphasized that the PnP Nantong International Innovation Center, jointly advanced by Nantong Development Zone, Innovation Zone, and High-Tech Zone in partnership with PnP China, will broadly connect global enterprises, investment institutions, and academic institutions. It aims to attract and aggregate high-quality innovation resources, facilitating precise collaboration between local enterprises and diverse innovation entities. The center's launch holds profound strategic significance—not only by introducing top-tier global innovation resources but also by invigorating Nantong's indigenous innovation capabilities, injecting new momentum into high-quality development. By fostering deep integration between startups and local enterprises, it is poised to generate high-quality employment opportunities, attract extensive investment, and create a win-win industrial ecosystem.

Dr. Chen encouraged participating innovators and entrepreneurs to leverage PnP's resources, dare to explore cross-border collaborations, and jointly drive industrial upgrading. He also appealed to Nantong's stakeholders to embrace innovation with an open and inclusive mindset, grow alongside innovative enterprises, and share in future prosperity.
