On the morning of May 13, Party Secretary Niu Xiaoyu and Vice President Yuan Guanglin led a delegation to visit the Henan Provincial Department of Science and Technology for exchange and discussion. They held talks with Zhang Rui, Party Secretary and Director of the Henan Department of Science and Technology, along with representatives from relevant departments. Leaders from the university’s Research Office and School of Engineering also attended the meeting.

Niu Xiaoyu expressed sincere gratitude to the Henan Provincial Department of Science and Technology for its long-term guidance and support, and introduced the university’s recent achievements in scientific research projects, research platform development, high-level talent recruitment, and social services.

Yuan Guanglin focused on introducing the university“Three-Education, Three-System” talent cultivation model, internationalization efforts, and scientific research development. He stated that under the guidance of the Henan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the university will continue to increase investment in research and talent development, striving for new breakthroughs in key discipline construction, major research project applications, landmark research achievements, and innovation platform development.

Zhang Rui highly praised the university’s educational, international advantages, and achievements in scientific research. He emphasized that the university should further leverage its international resources, strengthen cooperation with overseas high-level universities, research institutions, and enterprises, and actively build international joint laboratories and apply for major international scientific research projects. He also encouraged the university to align closely with Henan Province’s “7+28+N” modern industrial chain system, optimize academic discipline, deepen university-enterprise collaborative innovation, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and promote the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent cultivation to contribute more to the high-quality economic and social development of Henan Province.
