Professor Liu Lvhong, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Zhengzhou University, Invited to Deliver Academic Exchange Lecture at Our University

On May 20, Professor Liu Lvhong, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Zhengzhou University and Dean of the School of Marxism, was invited to our university for an academic exchange event. She delivered a special lecture titled Development of Schools of Marxism in Universities and the Connotative Development of Ideological and Political Courses at the T2-202 Smart Lecture Hall.

The lecture was chaired by Vice President Zhao Yuxin and attended by all faculty members of the School of Marxism for learning and academic exchange.

Zhao Yuxin extended a warm welcome to Professor Liu Lvhong and introduced her academic background and distinguished professional achievements. He noted that the exchange provided a valuable opportunity for the university’s ideological and political education faculty to enhance their professional capabilities and broaden their academic horizons.

During the event, Zhao Yuxin presented Professor Liu Lvhong with a letter of appointment, officially appointing her as a visiting professor of the university.

In her lecture, Professor Liu Lvhong analyzed the achievements and existing challenges in the development of ideological and political education in light of current trends in the field. She systematically reviewed the development history and governance structure of Schools of Marxism in universities, and shared practical experience in improving both School of Marxism development and the quality of ideological and political courses. Her presentation focused on key areas including political orientation, Party leadership, faculty development, disciplinary advancement, research enhancement, and curriculum reform. She emphasized the importance of thoroughly understanding the principles of education and teaching, disciplinary development, and talent cultivation in order to steadily promote the connotative and high-quality development of Schools of Marxism.

At the conclusion of the lecture, Dean Guo Xuede delivered closing remarks. He stated that the report was comprehensive, insightful, and highly instructive, providing clear guidance for the development of the School of Marxism and the reform of ideological and political courses. He encouraged all faculty members to fully absorb the insights from the lecture, integrate its theories and methodologies into teaching and research, uphold the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education, and continuously improve both the quality of ideological and political teaching and the overall development of the School of Marxism.

This event effectively promoted the sharing of experience in the development of Schools of Marxism among universities and carried significant importance for improving the quality of ideological and political education at our university as well as advancing the connotative development of the School of Marxism.
