On the afternoon of July 15, university leaders led a team to various construction sites across the campus to conduct a special inspection and supervision of the summer dormitory renovation projects. They examined construction safety, project quality, and overall progress on-site, while coordinating and arranging key tasks related to advancing the projects. Relevant officials from the Student Affairs Office, Security Office, and Logistics Service Center accompanied the inspection.

The dormitory renovation project is one of the university’s key renovation initiatives this year. Upon completion, the project will further optimize the campus functional layout and significantly improve students’ learning and living environment.

The inspection team visited several locations, including D34 Dormitory Building, the B1 floor of the S03 Student Activity Center, D09 Dormitory Building, and D11 Dormitory Building. At each site, they listened to detailed reports from the construction teams regarding project timelines, safety measures, and subsequent construction plans. They also inspected the actual construction progress, carefully identified challenges and obstacles affecting project advancement, and held an on-site work meeting to coordinate solutions.

 University leaders pointed out that summer renovation projects face tight schedules and heavy workloads. All participating units must scientifically coordinate construction arrangements, increase manpower and construction resources, and strictly follow the reversed project timeline to accelerate progress. While maintaining the two essential bottom lines of production safety and construction quality, all teams must work efficiently to ensure that every renovation site is completed on schedule and that students can move into their dormitories smoothly before the autumn semester begins.

The leaders emphasized that student dormitory renovation directly concerns the vital interests of all students. It is a livelihood project aimed at improving educational support facilities and enhancing campus conditions. All functional departments and construction units must raise their awareness of responsibility, strengthen accountability at every level, and adhere to the working principles of “Safety First, Quality as the Foundation, and Efficient Advancement.” They must complete all renovation tasks with high standards, high quality, and high efficiency.

University leaders further stressed that safety production is an uncompromising red line in construction projects. All departments and participating units must continue to strengthen comprehensive safety management responsibilities, establish a regular mechanism for identifying and addressing safety risks, and implement detailed, full-process supervision of key risk areas, including high-altitude operations, fire-related construction activities, and fire protection facilities.

The university will strictly maintain the goal of “zero accidents” in construction safety, further strengthen campus safety protection, and ensure a safe and secure environment for teaching, learning, and student life.
