Zhishan Residential College seeks to build a convenient and effective interactive space and growth platform for teachers and students, so as to create an educational community with the characteristics of advocating morality and learning, wisdom and health, civilization and harmony, and innovation and entrepreneurship.

The residential college combines "advocating morality, learning, practice, and being good" and "innovation and entrepreneurship, self-improvement and great progress" as its characteristics, with "educating and nurturing people" at its core. Students' growth, talent, and their needs for developing multicultural knowledge and innovation ability are its future goals. The end goals are the broadening of students' knowledge and horizons, the realization of the effectiveness of the liberal arts, professional development, and personality growth.

In accordance with the goals of, and guidance from, the Communist Party, Zhishan Residential College prioritizes "education and self-improvement" by implementing a unique theme of innovation and entrepreneurship. Students are encouraged in ideological and moral education, innovation and entrepreneurship, and an improvement of their cultural tastes, so that grow into high-quality innovative talents with a conscience.
