Huanyu Residential College's motto is to "Be well versed in Chinese and Western learning, and be famous all over the world!". With an international perspective, the residential college promotes interdisciplinary studies through integration and the timely in-depth development of educational effectiveness. Since its establishment, Huanyu Residential College has striven to build itself into a well-known, first-class, modern learning center through international projects, international activities, international exchanges, and an international environment. It promotes mutual learning between cultures and the building of a community based on a shared destiny for mankind.

Based on the theme and characteristics of the residential college, and guided by the improvements in students' quality, the Huanyu Residential College aims to promote international exchanges and cooperation through 4 methods: international ability training; international perspectives; international project practice; and international vision expansion. The goal is to create opportunities for young students with unique knowledge systems to complement each other and promote the integrated development of the university's academic education and general education. The end result is a patriotic, innovative, internationalized, interdisciplinary talent primed for contributions to the nation.
