School of Journalism and Communication


The School of Journalism & Communication was founded in 2011. To meet the extensive needs of society for communication talent and the rigorous development of the academic discipline of Journalism & Communication, the school has continuously expanded its professional scope. At present, it has 2 undergraduate majors - Journalism, and Advertising; and one specialization - News Gathering, Editing, and Production. There are 5 major directions under the undergraduate majors - Journalism, Journalism (Social Media), Journalism (Digital Images), Advertising, and Advertising (Image Management).

 

The School of Journalism & Communication seeks to nurture international interdisciplinary talent with "excellent English, new knowledge, strong skills, broad communication skills, and sophisticated behavior". It has established modern teaching facilities such as a studio laboratory, digital publishing laboratory, non-linear editing laboratory, and photography and camera laboratory with the Sias News Center, to create a platform for practice for the students. The school has also set up a News Center, which allows students to create their own newspapers, videos, and micro-films, according to their interests.
