Sias University's 22nd Mental Health Education Month began on March 16. The opening ceremony, organized by the Mental Health Education & Counseling Center, was held at Sias' (Moscow) Red Square. Vice President, Zheng Min, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The heads of the Student Work Department and the General Office of the Residential Colleges, counselors, and educational tutors were also present.

In her speech, Zheng Min emphasized the importance of mental health education, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic. She commended the Mental Health Education & Counseling Center for its work and contributions to the university. She then put forward three requirements for the Mental Health Education Month:

- First, all residential colleges should prioritize this event and mobilize students to take part in it;

- Second, students should seize this opportunity and participate in the event;

- Third, relevant departments should provide guidance and services for mental health education at Sias.

The Deputy Party Secretary of Zhixing Residential College, Niu Zhige, Educational Tutor Representative, Shang Anqi, and Student Representative of the Psychological Volunteer's Association, Liu Mengyao, also delivered speeches. At the end of the opening ceremony, teachers and students wrote messages of encouragement on the 'signature wall'.

The scheduled activities for the 22nd Mental Health Education Month will continue for four weeks. During this period, a variety of activities will be organized including group psychological counseling, the students' mental health knowledge competition, the students' psychological skit competition, psychological quality development events, and the "My Growth Story" Essay Competition, among others. The goal of the 22nd Mental Health Education Month is to improve the mental health awareness and mental health level of teachers and students and thereby create a positive, peaceful, and productive campus environment.
