Security Office

    The Security Office of Sias University is a functional department responsible for campus security, stability, and the maintenance of order under the combined leadership of the university's Communist Party Committee and the university administration, with guidance from public security organs. It is a comprehensive public security office.


    The Security Office has a student-centered policy and carries out all its work for the safety of the students. As of September 2021, the Security Office has 51 members who form the university police who work together for the safety of the university. In recent years, with the continued development of the university, a modern campus security system has been set up, including a high-definition video monitoring system, a visual command intercom system, an intelligent vehicle management system, and a personnel access management system. These upgrades and improvements have improved the security apparatus at the university.


    The Xinzheng Public Security Bureau established the Police Office of Sias University in 2015. It is responsible for the public security and policing of the university to ensure a safe campus. The establishment of the Police Office has led to an increase in the sense of security among teachers and students.


    The Security Office monitors the streets and neighborhoods surrounding the university campus for the comprehensive management of the campus and these surrounding areas. It focuses on combating organized crime, illegal taxis, and illegal vendors to ensure a safe and secure environment on campus. In recent years the Sias Security Office has won honorary titles in the Zhengzhou metropolitan region including, the "Advanced Unit of Stability, Maintenance, and Security Work" and the " Advanced Unit of Fire Control Work".


The primary responsibilities of the Security Office are:

1. To formulate the university's security network plans and various security prevention plans and organize their implementation to ensure the internal safety of the university for the maintenance of order.

2. To implement the principle of "Prevention First" to improve various safety management rules and regulations, and delegate responsibilities according to established requirements.

3. Household registration management of the collective registered residences of the university, household registration transfers, and ID card handling of freshman enrollment and graduate employment; to cooperate with the police station to handle the household registration transfer of teachers, students, and employees, and to conduct household registration verification regularly.

4. To collect, sort, summarize, and report on the university's political security information, to assist departments in the management of overseas personnel, and deal with unstable factors and emergencies promptly.

5. To ensure and oversee the comprehensive management of campus public security which includes campus public security, publicity and education on public security, fire control, traffic safety, prevention and reduction of illegal and criminal acts, and the education of students and teachers concerning their understanding of the law.

6. To establish and improve various safety and fire prevention systems, to implement fire safety inspections at all levels, and to monitor the creation and training of fire drills for personnel at all levels.

7. To assist public security organs with investigations and solving criminal public security acts that occur in the university and involve teachers or students; to investigate and coordinate the handling of security disputes in the university under relevant regulations.

8. The security of large-scale activities, maintaining traffic safety and order on campus, and dealing with all kinds of vehicle violations and traffic accident disputes on campus.

9. To complete all tasks assigned by leaders.
