Sias holds Classroom Teaching Innovation Competition

Wednesday, October 28 – Sias University held a Classroom Teaching Innovation Competition in the Library on the 27th of October. The competition was organized by the Academic Affairs & Scientific Research Department, in accordance with the guidelines on classroom teaching innovation given by the Henan Department of Education. Experts were invited to conduct on-site evaluations. The Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, Vice President, Zhao Yuxin, and the Assistant Teaching Principal and Director of the Academic Affairs & Scientific Research Department, Zhu Lin, attended the event.


Before the competition began, Zhu Lin introduced the stages and rules of the competition. Zhao Yuxin thanked the 7 evaluation experts and expressed his encouragement to the 15 participating teachers.


The Classroom Teaching Innovation Competition included curriculum design, lesson methods, and the integration of ideological and political elements. At the end of the competition, two teachers qualified for the provincial Classroom Teaching Innovation Competition.


Dr. Shawn Chen said that teachers at Sias should improve their classroom curriculum through competitions so that they can find gaps and improve their teaching ability and quality. He said that he hoped that more young teachers would learn from each other and improve together through these teaching competitions.


Sias University's Classroom Teaching Innovation Competition aims to build a professional teaching team and comprehensively improve the teaching level of the faculty. It is also a platform for teachers to demonstrate the effectiveness of their student-centered teaching reform.
