Thursday, May 27 - Sias University held the China (Zhengzhou) Artificial Intelligence Collaborative Innovation Forum on the 27th of May. The Forum was jointly sponsored by the Henan Association for Science and Technology and the Chinese Institute of Electronics. It was organized by the Henan Institute of Electronics, the Xinzheng Industrial Informatization Office of Science and Technology, Sias University, the Henan University Computer Education Research Association, and the 5G Industry Education Application Integration Alliance. The Forum was held to build a bridge of cooperation for the integration of industries and universities in the field of artificial intelligence.

The chief guests were Academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Zhejiang University, Tan Jianrong; Academician at the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences (China), distinguished professor of the Chang Jiang Scholars Program, and Director of the School of Environment Science and Spatial Informatics at the China University of Mining and Technology, Xue Yong; the Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, Wang Tianhong; the Vice Chairman of the Henan Association for Science and Technology, Deng Hongjun; member of the Henan Department of Information Technology & Software Services, and the Henan Department of Industry and Information Technology, Liu Hui; Director of the Henan Intellectual Property Affairs Center, Liu Weidong; the Dean of the School of Automation at the Northwestern Polytechnic University, Pan Quan; the Dean of the School of Software at Zhengzhou University, Li Xuexiang; the Dean of the School of Software at the Henan University of Science & Technology; Vice President of iFLYTEK Higher Education, Li Weiguo; General Manager of China Unicom Xinzheng, Wang Xu; and the Head of Baidu's PaddlePaddle Deep Learning Platform, Zhao Bin. The Sias leadership was represented by the Founder, and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Shawn Chen, and Executive President, Wang Jialin.

The Forum began at 9 a.m. in the Sias Library. The President of the Henan Institute of Electronics, Jia Xiaobo, presided over the Opening Ceremony.

Dr. Shawn Chen delivered a speech and welcomed the experts and scholars on behalf of the university. He spoke about the results of reform and practical exploration of the integration of industry and education. He said that the forum was not only a platform for experts to exchange views, but also a valuable opportunity for teachers and students at Sias to learn and keep up with the latest advances in technology. Wang Tianhong also delivered a speech and thanked Sias for organizing and hosting the Forum. She said that artificial intelligence was a driving force for industrial change, the engine for economic development, and an accelerator for social progress. She said that the forum was bound to play an important role in strengthening cooperation between the various fields of artificial intelligence. Deng Hongjun pointed out that the Forum was of great significance to promote the development of artificial intelligence study and industry in the province of Henan.

After the Opening Ceremony, Tan Jianrong presented a special report titled "Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Manufacturing: Key Technologies and Development Trends". He explained both artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent manufacturing in detail, beginning at the definitions, the origin, the 3 elements of AI, and the 8 development trends of AI, based on cutting-edge collaborative research. Later, Xue Yong presented a report titled, "Application of AI in Remote Sensing Big Data". He described the 3 waves of informatization, explain the capacity and challenges for big data in its development, the characteristics of 5G, big data thinking, and the algorithms and calculations used for remote sensing big data.

After the special reports, Li Weiguo delivered a speech titled, "New Occupation, New Industry and Education, New Wisdom - Embracing the Era of Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence". He explained that AI technology promotes the reform of educational content and resources, the production of curricula, learning and interaction, and educational evaluation. He also spoke about AI-equipped colleges and universities that integrate self-productivity with learning and quality. He said that he hoped to explore the future of AI concerning the enabling of education with the experts and guests present. After the reports and speeches, a signing ceremony was held between the Henan Institute of Electronics and Rigger Micro Technologies.

There were several sub-fora and meetings held in the afternoon based on "5G + AI" and "Educational Innovation with AI". The 5G + AI Alliance Forum was hosted by Wang Xu. After he explained the policies, experts attending the forum held in-depth discussions on how to empower enterprises after the maturing of 5G technology. The forum was hosted by the Dean of the College of Electronics and Information Engineering at the Shenyang Aerospace University College of Electronic and Information Engineering.

The Forum succeeded in building a platform for the exchange of information between the government, enterprises, and academia. It also contributed to the increased integration of industry, university, and research, and expanded the influence of Sias in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
