The Center for Teaching Quality Supervision & Assessment is the functional department responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the university's teaching quality. It has three offices: the Teaching Quality Monitoring Office, the Evaluation Office, and the Data Management Office.

Teaching Quality Monitoring Office

The Teaching Quality Monitoring Office inspects, supervises, evaluates, and guides the teaching and teaching management of the entire university in accordance with the systems and regulations of the university's teaching quality monitoring, and the requirements of the university's development plan. It also promotes the optimization of the teaching process and the improvement of teaching quality and provides information support and suggestions for leaders to implement decisions backed by science.

It is primarily responsible for the comprehensive evaluation of teachers' classroom teaching quality (student evaluation, supervision evaluation, peer evaluation, management assistance evaluation), teachers' self-evaluation, random inspections, the assessment and acceptance of new teachers' teaching skills, the collection and management of student information, and special teaching inspections (random inspections of online curriculum, test paper quality, bachelor's degree quality, etc.). It also handles complaints about teaching problems between teachers and students.

Evaluation Office

The Evaluation Office is a department that studies, formulates, and organizes the implementation of various university evaluation schemes according to the evaluation policies and the evaluation index system formulated by the Ministry of Education and the Henan (provincial) Department of Education. It inspects, evaluates, and guides the evaluation and construction work of all special working groups, teaching units, and functional departments of the university. It promotes the continuous improvement of undergraduate teaching and talent training and ensures the smooth passing of the qualification evaluation of undergraduate teaching work under the Ministry of Education.

It is primarily responsible for formulating the overall plan of evaluation and construction, resolving and deconstructing the evaluation and construction tasks, and formulating the evaluation and construction progress table, and organizing its implementation. Its other tasks include:

- organizing, coordinating, helping, and guiding all special working groups, teaching units, and departments to carry out evaluation;

- organizing and carrying out professional evaluation and curriculum evaluation at the university, summarizing and releasing the progress of evaluation and construction, checking and accepting the evaluation data of each unit, and studying and coordinating the solving of relevant problems in the processes of evaluation and construction;

- strengthening the contact and communication between educational departments and academic schools;

- tracking, understanding, and studying the latest trends of qualification assessment inside and outside the province of Henan, to provide a basis for the decision-making of the university leadership;

- promoting and collecting, filing, and reporting the basic state data of undergraduate teaching, to provide data support for the monitoring of teaching quality;

- preparing and issuing the undergraduate teaching quality report of the university;

- the publicity and reporting of evaluation and construction information.

Data Management Office

The Data Management Office is established according to the requirements of the university's Evaluation and Construction Leading Group, focusing on supporting materials, inspection, and acceptance of undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation.

It is primarily responsible for guiding the person in charge of evaluation materials to classify and archive the evaluation materials according to the filing scope, formation process, and the requirements of the Undergraduate Teaching Qualification Evaluation Index System. Other tasks include:

- organizing experts in the university to spot-check the progress of evaluation and construction and data archiving;

- inviting assessment experts from inside and outside the province to give lectures or for training;

- organizing the participation of members in research at evaluated colleges and universities inside and outside the province;

- regularly organizing all the departments and academic schools to hold discussions and exchange meetings on evaluation and construction;

- evaluating the archives and data management and submission according to the regulations for undergraduate qualification assessment and university archives management.
