The Sias library officially opened in a grand ceremony on May 26, 2017. It is the embodiment of the university's educational philosophy of 'East-meets-West; Integrating Knowledge with Practice'. The library is located in the central area of the campus and is one of the most important buildings of the university. It was designed by Peter Weiss, an American architect, and his team. The foundation was laid in March 2013.

The library has 15 floors, a floor space of over 69,000 square meters, and cost approximately ¥450m to build. It has 10 escalators, 6 elevators, and 8 staircases. The floor plans involve wide open areas, pillars, and open channels for readers to move about quickly. There are 4,850 seats and 88 conference rooms of varying sizes. Readers can make a reservation on their mobile phones, on the Sias Library website, or in person at the library.

The library and has over 4.37 million books, including over 350,000 foreign books. It has an advanced digital information resource management system and a computer integrated management system, bringing together modern computer management with the traditional "collection and borrowing" of a library. The library was constructed using low-carbon technology and contains a technology experience exhibition hall, a multi-purpose banquet hall with a capacity of over 1,000 people, over 100 study rooms, and high-speed WiFi throughout the facility. With features such as modernization, internationalization, networking, intelligence, and academic specializations, the library serves as a public information center, scientific research and academic center, and cultural exchange center of the university. It is open to teachers and students 24 hours a day.

The library also has a Learning Center, Experience Center, Teaching & Research Support Center, Academic Center, and International Conference Center. The design, concept, and construction create a fusion of science, the humanities, environmental protection, modernity, youth, and style.
