National Center for Philosophy and Social Science Documentation (NCPSSD)

The Ministry of Central Propaganda, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Ministry of Education, and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, and Television jointly created the National Center for Philosophy and Social Science Documentation (NCPSSD). It is a public welfare project funded by the State, which provides academic resources to the public free of charge. The center was officially launched in December 2016.


The center mainly provides information, resources, topics, and services. It gives readers access to more than 7,000 kinds of foreign academic journals, as well as foreign books, ancient books, and literature, with more than 60 domestic social science research institutions' website navigation links.


National University Ideological & Political Work Network

The National University Ideological & Political Work Network is an information platform under the guidance of the Department of Ideological & Political Work at the Ministry of Education, and the China University Student Online Development Center of the Higher Education Publishing House. It is responsible for the construction and operation and providing of services to the ideological and political work fronts in colleges and universities throughout China. The platform brings together the achievements of universities and colleges in various provinces and regions of the country in ideological and political work (education), including the Ministry of Education humanities and social science research (ideological and political work special) part of the research results, as well as the "Ideological Theory Education Guide" of the core journal selection of papers for everyone to exchange and share. The platform also provides job advertising platform services to provincial education departments and relevant universities.


National Science & Technology Report Service

The National Science & Technology Report Service enables 10,000 scientific and technological reports to be open to the public. Users can retrieve National Science and Technology Program projects and real-name registered users can browse the full text of public science and technology reports online. The system has taken measures to ensure the rights and interests of the authors of scientific and technological reports.


The National Science & Technology Report Service provides services to the public, professionals, and managers. It provides the public with free scientific and technological report summaries for which the public does not need to register. They can search scientific and technological report summaries and basic information. It also provides professionals with online full-text browsing services of scientific and technological reports, with professionals needing authenticated real-name registration for access.


National Library Reference Consulting Alliance

The National Library Reference Consulting Alliance is a public welfare service institution established by the China Public, Education, Science and Technology System Library under the guidance of the National Center for Cultural Information Resource Sharing, whose purpose is to provide free online reference consultation and document telematics services to the public based on the collection resources of digital libraries and information resources of the Internet.


National Bureau of Statistics

The National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China is directly under the State Council. It is engaged in organizing, leading, and coordinating the work of national statistics to ensure that the statistics are true, accurate, and timely. It formulates statistical policies, plans, basic national statistical systems, and national statistical standards, drafts statistical laws and regulations, formulates departmental regulations, and guides national statistical work. It establishes and improves the national economic accounting system, formulates a national economic accounting system, organizes and implements the national accounting system and the national input and output survey of the entire country including provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. It charts the GDP of China and its provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government, compiles and provides information on national economic accounting, and supervises and manages the national economic accounting work in various regions.


The bureau organizes and implements statistical surveys on agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fisheries, industry, construction, wholesale and retail trade, accommodation and catering, real estate, leasing and business services, residential and other services, cultural, sports and entertainment, transportation services, warehousing, computer services, software, science and technology exchanges and promotion services, and social welfare. It collects, summarizes, collates, and provides statistical data on surveys, and consolidates and provides geological surveys, tourism, transportation, postal services, education, basic national statistics on health, social security, and public utilities.


Basic Research Knowledge Base of the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)

The Basic Research Knowledge Base of the NSFC collects and preserves the metadata and full text of research papers on the results of NSFC-funded projects, provides open access to the public, and is committed to becoming an open service platform for disseminating cutting-edge scientific and technological knowledge and scientific and technological achievements in basic research fields, promoting scientific and technological progress.


Patent Search Database of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is the U.S. federal agency for granting patents and registering trademarks. The USPTO fulfills the mandate of Article I, Section 8, Clause 8, of the United States Constitution that the legislative branch "promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries." The USPTO registers trademarks based on the commerce clause of the Constitution (Article I, Section 8, Clause 3).


Patent Search & Analysis of the China National Intellectual Property Administration

The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) patent search and analysis system collects patent data from 103 countries, regions, and organizations, as well as data on citations, peers, legal status, and more. It provides general search, advanced search, navigation search, drug search, command-line search, patent analysis, and other functions.


European Patent Office (EPO)

The European Patent Office (EPO) is an intergovernmental organization formally established in October 1977 under the European Patent Convention to review the granting of European patents in 42 countries. It is headquartered in Munich, Germany, with offices in The Hague (Netherlands), Berlin (Germany), Vienna (Austria), and Brussels (Belgium). In 2017, for the first time, China was among the top five applicants for the European Patent Office.

Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS)

The Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS) is the most comprehensive free industrial property information search service in Korea on the internet managed by KIPO (Korean Intellectual Property Office) and KIPI (Korea Institute of Patent Information). It covers domestic and foreign industrial property Information such as patent, utility model, trademark, and design owned by KIPO.


Australian Patent Office (IP Australia, APO)

The Australian Patent Office is responsible for managing Australia's IP (Intellectual Property) system, particularly patents, trademarks, and designs. It is a division of the Australian Intellectual Property Office. The institution was established by the Commonwealth of Australia in 1904. It contributes to the innovation system more broadly by using skills and experience to advise government and Australian businesses to make the most of their intellectual property. IP Australia conducts regular research, offers patent analytics services, and maintains publicly available data sets that offer key insights into the Australian IP system.


Free Patents Online (FPO)

Free Patents Online was developed in the classic mold of innovation making patent research faster, easier, and more accessible than ever before. Further, it was built with the evolving model of the web and open access. It is responsible for much of the democratization of patent data, searches, and analytics by bringing it to many people and doing so with professional standards (fast and accurate search, up-to-date data, feature-rich tools such as alerts, portfolios, and collaboration).


World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)

The World Intellectual Property Organization is the world's most comprehensive source of data on the intellectual property (IP) system, as well as on empirical studies, reports, and factual information on intellectual property. It is a self-funding agency of the United Nations, with 193 member states.


Whether users are seeking statistical, legal, or technical information, it provides a gateway to a unique collection of resources and reference material. All publications and data collections are freely available online. Its mission is to lead the development of a balanced and effective international intellectual property system that enables innovation and creativity for the benefit of all. Its mandate, governing bodies, and procedures are set out in the WIPO Convention, which established WIPO in 1967.
