School of Medicine


Sias School of Medicine traces its origins to the School of Nursing under Zhengzhou University Sias International College, which was established in 2008. With the development of disciplines and programs, it was renamed the School of Medical Sciences of Sias University in January, 2023.


The school consists of the Department of Nursing, Department of Rehabilitation Therapy, Department of Health Services and Management, Basic Medicine Teaching and Research Section, Medical Humanities Teaching and Research Section, and Medical Experimental Teaching Center. The school currently offers three undergraduate programs: Nursing, Rehabilitation Therapy, and Health Services and Management, with a total enrollment of 1,811 students. The Nursing program has been recognized as a Henan Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Program and a Brand Specialty of Henan Private Higher Education Institutions. Fundamentals of Nursing is a Henan Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Course, while Introduction to Nursing and Fundamentals of Nursing are Henan Provincial Curriculum Ideology and Politics Model Courses. Nursing is a key discipline of the university, and the Key Laboratory of Mental Health and Microecology is a university-level key research institution.


The school has assembled a high-quality faculty team with solid theoretical foundations, professional excellence, and dedication. It currently employs 76 faculty members, including 18 with senior professional titles, 56 with master's degrees, and 4 with doctoral degrees. The faculty includes 1 "Zhongyuan Talent Program - Outstanding Young Talent," 1 Henan Provincial Higher Education Innovation Talent in Science and Technology, 1 Henan Provincial Academic and Technical Leader, 1 Henan Provincial Outstanding Teacher, and 1 Henan Provincial Young Backbone Teacher. Over the past three years, faculty members have secured 45 teaching and research projects (including 5 Henan Provincial Key R&D Projects), published 23 SCI and core journal papers, and authored or co-authored 13 textbooks. Guided by Sias's philosophy of "East meets West," the school is committed to cultivating highly socially responsible professionals with innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, strong English proficiency, solid expertise, practical skills, and global perspective, serving Henan, China, and the world.


Building on Sias's international education platform, the school actively engages in global exchanges and cooperation. Sias has established a Sino-foreign cooperative undergraduate nursing program with Fort Hays State University (USA), a student exchange program with Daegu Health University (South Korea), and jointly organizes international academic conferences with Our Lady of Fatima University (Philippines). The school facilitates faculty and student exchanges, collaborative research, invites renowned domestic and international experts to give lectures, and encourages faculty to participate in overseas visits and academic exchanges to enhance internationalization.
