The School of Business was established very early on in Sias University's history. Formerly known as the Department of Economics & Management, it was a founding department of the university, with Business Administration, and International Economy & Trade as the founding majors. There are 5 departments within the school, and 13 teaching and research departments. There are 2 Master's degree authorization points, 11 undergraduate majors, 8 associate degree programs, 6 bridge programs, 1 provincial experimental teaching demonstration center, and 4 scientific research centers.
In the past 3 years, the top majors at Sias University were Finance, Logistics Management, and Economics, with 139, 125, and 118 points higher than the previous year's mark, respectively. All full-time teachers have graduate degrees, and 40.8% of the full-time teachers are at least Associate Professors, and 22% of teachers have either studied abroad or have international learning backgrounds. The school has 1 provincial first-class discipline, 1 provincial academic and technical class, 5 provincial academic and technical leaders.
The School of Business has carried out exchanges and cooperation with universities from over 10 countries such as the United States, Japan, and Thailand. It has 3 English classes on Business Administration, Finance, and International Economy & Trade. It has a joint MBA training program with California Baptist University (CBU) from the USA and has training, examinations, and international qualification certificates for international CPA, and financial analysts.
Adhering to the combination of Chinese and Western education and Sias' combination of a "liberal arts education + holistic education + integrated education", the School of Business has made significant strides in its development. It has won 17 provincial-level engineering project awards, with 10 in the past 3 years. It has established rigorous academic disciplines, specializations, and curricula, which have laid a foundation for the nurturing of talent with an international vision, a humanistic spirit, and a familiarity with economic management laws. In the past 3 years, it has successfully established 50 training (internship) bases with Galton Education Group, Yuman Global Cross-Border E-Commerce Development, and other enterprises, providing over 30 consulting services for the government and enterprises. Several achievements have been recognized by government departments, enterprises, and institutions. Over 1,000 students have participated in national competitions, simulation competitions, and subject competitions under the guidance of teachers, and over 60 national awards have been won. In 2019, students participated in the "Challenge Cup", an extra-curricular academic and technological works competition for university students, and won a special provincial award, two 1st prizes, and two 2nd prizes. The school has won 1 national 3rd place prize and is the only winner from private colleges and universities in the province of Henan. In 2020, students won 1 special award, 1 gold award, 3 silver awards, and 4 bronze awards in the Henan University Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition. The employment rate for graduates is among the highest, and the school has had nearly 30,000 graduates in its history.
