The School of Architecture of Sias University, formerly known as Sias International University, was founded in April 2010 and began to enroll students the very same year. In its first year, 93 students were recruited into the 4-year undergraduate program. From 2011, the school began enrolling students for 5-year majors, and in 2014, it enrolled students for the 5-year Architecture degree in Interior Design. In 2017, the school enrolled students for a Bridge Program in Architectural Decoration Engineering Technology. At present, there are nearly 700 students in the School of Architecture, and beginning with the 2021/22 academic year, it will offer a degree in Engineering Management.
The School of Architecture has over 30 full-time teachers. All the teachers are graduates of architectural programs in universities in either China or abroad. There are 2 professors, 4 associate professors, and 2 senior engineers. Over 90% of the teachers are lecturers or higher, and 4 have studied abroad.
Sias' educational philosophy is "East-meets-West; Integrating Knowledge and Practice". To improve the teaching quality and broaden its international vision, the school has invited several experts to guide students. These include Academician at the Department of Mechanical and Transportation Engineering at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Department of Engineering Management, Liu Renhuai; Academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhou Fengjun; Doctoral Supervisor at the University of Nottingham, Prof. Wang Qi; famous domestic architectural designer, Prof. Xiao Hong; Dean of the School of Architecture at Zhengzhou University, Prof. Zhang Jiantao; Design Director of Archimorphic, Tu Luoya. The school has signed cooperation agreements with American universities such as Arizona State University, the University of Hawai'i, and The University of Akron, for student exchanges, faculty exchanges, and research projects. It has also established cooperative relations with Bensley Design Studios (BDS) and Holee Display. Focusing on the goal of producing application-oriented talent and improving teaching, the School of Architecture has signed agreements with over 20 practice bases in China and abroad.
According to statistics, the employment rate for graduates of the School of Architecture has remained above 90%. Several graduates have gone on to pursue their Master's degrees at the "Eight Old Schools of Architecture".
