Huanyu Residential College
The word "Huanyu" comes from the Tang Dynasty Luo Bingwang's Emperor Jing Chapter, "the fame crowns the universe, and the cultural relics are like Zhaohui," which indicates the vast universe. It is hoped that Huanyu students can uphold the school motto of "East meets West, integrating knowledge with practice." With this foundation, students are inspired to strive for the beautiful vision of becoming "Talents all over the world, and fame in the world," spreading their knowledge, skills, and contributions across the globe.
Huanyu Residential College is located on London Street in the northern district of Sias, boasting a total of eight dormitory buildings that provide 4,129 beds for over 4,000 resident students. The college maintains a balanced male-to-female ratio of approximately 1:1.5 among its residents. The student population is diverse, covering 62 majors, including various Chinese-foreign cooperative education programs such as Business Administration, Nursing, Finance, Information Management and Information Systems, and English. Additionally, the college is home to students pursuing majors in Accounting, Music Performance, and more. Notably, Kansas International School has 2,109 students enrolled within its premises.
