The Mental Health Education & Counseling Center at Sias University was founded in 2002. It is responsible for teaching and scientific research, the spread of mental health education and awareness, the organizing of activities focused on mental health education, psychological training, psychological counseling, and mental health crisis prevention and intervention for teachers and students. The Center has 7 full-time teachers, all of whom have national psychological counselor qualifications. There are 16 part-time psychological counselors and 5 Chinese and foreign supervisors.

    The Center is equipped with a waiting room, psychological counseling room, psychological evaluation room, hotline center, a room for Sandplay Therapy, emotional relaxation room, music relaxation room, group psychological counseling room, as well as other multi-purpose rooms.

    In 2014 and 2019, Sias University was rated as the 'Pilot Unit' and 'Demonstration Unit' of Mental Health Education in Colleges and Universities in the province of Henan by the Henan Department of Education.
