A day after the festivities of Homecoming Day, Sias University holds its annual Commencement (Graduation Ceremony) at the Basketball Arena to celebrate the accomplishments of its graduating students and their next step into society. Sias University leaders, heads of all departments, academic schools, and residential colleges, as well as guests from both China and abroad, attend the Commencement.

    The Commencement begins in the morning with the playing of the national anthem of the People’s Republic of China. Following this, there are speeches by the Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, visiting guests, the teachers' representative, and the graduate representative.

    After the speeches, various awards for academic excellence are presented to the graduates by Sias leaders. These include awards for third, second, and first-ranked students, outstanding graduates, provincial-level award winners, and students who had won scholarships for post-graduate study in the USA.

    The graduation ceremony ends with choral performances by the Choir from the School of Music.
