Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP)
The Association of the Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) is a Non-Governmental Organization, holding the highest formal consultative status with UNESCO. Its primary purpose is to be the main platform for interaction and collaboration between members and to be an effective voice of universities in the Asia-Pacific region.
The AUAP organizes regular conferences and workshops for higher education leaders and institutions in the Asia-Pacific region to discuss important issues and the challenges facing higher education today. The AUAP promotes and helps enhance mutually beneficial cooperation among educational institutions, and is dedicated to rendering such services to its member institutions.
The Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias University, Dr. Shawn Chen, was the President of the AUAP from 2014 to 2016, and currently serves as an Executive Board Member. The Director of Sias’ Office of International Affairs (OIA), Yue Junliang, is the Country Chapter Committee Chair for China.
