On September 8, the Mobilization Meeting for Military Skills Training and the Instructor Appointment Ceremony for Class of 2025 students were held at the East District Track and Field of our university. Ma Jiansheng, Secretary of the CPC Sias Committee; Wu Hua, Executive Vice President of Sias University; Yuan Guanglin, Vice President of Sias University; Duan Dongdong, Regimental Commander of the Military Skills Training Regiment for Class of 2025 students, and all members of the Military Training Work Leading Group attended the meeting. Student supervisors (deputy supervisors), mentors for Class of 2025 students, military training regiment instructors, and all participating students were present at the ceremony. The meeting was chaired by Wu Hua.
The meeting opened with the majestic national anthem of the People's Republic of China. Ma Jiansheng delivered a military training mobilization speech. On behalf of Sias, he welcomed all freshmen of Class of 2025 to join the Sias family and expressed his high respect to the training instructors. He pointed out that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War. Military training, as the first lesson for freshmen entering university, is an important opportunity to receive national defense education and inherit the red gene. It can help students understand the connotation that "a country cannot be secure without a strong defense, and the people cannot live in peace without soldiers," and enable them to forge their will, cultivate a collective spirit, and enhance their patriotic sentiment during the training. He put forward three requirements for the participants: First, adopt a correct attitude and attach great importance to it. Fully recognize the significance of military training, participate in the training with full enthusiasm, and strengthen the sense of organizational discipline. Second, train hard and be strict with oneself. Carefully complete every training movement, cultivate a tenacious fighting spirit and the noble quality of selfless dedication, and work together in unity to make progress. Third, participate in training scientifically and ensure safety. Always pay attention to one's physical condition. Training instructors and mentors should organize the training scientifically, and all departments of the university should implement support work to ensure the safe and smooth progress of military training. He encouraged students to integrate the fine work styles cultivated during military training into their future study and life and strive to become new-era good young people with ideals, a sense of responsibility, the ability to endure hardships, and a willingness to strive.
Subsequently, Wu Hua read out the Decision on Establishing the Military Training Work Leading Group for Class of 2025 Students and presented the flag to the military training regiment, marking the official launch of the military training work for Class of 2025 students. Yuan Guanglin read out the Decision on Appointing Comrades such as Shan Songyi as Military Training Instructors for Class of 2025 Students. Ma Jiansheng presented appointment certificates to the military training instructors, officially appointing a group of experienced and high-quality instructors to undertake the training work for this military training session.
Duan Dongdong, the Regimental Commander of the Military Skills Training Regiment for Class of 2025 students, presented flags to each battalion of the military training regiment. The battalion flags fluttered in the wind, symbolizing that each battalion would engage in training with high morale and demonstrate a united and enterprising spirit. Instructor representative Liu Kun and trainee representative Li Mingyang delivered speeches respectively. Instructor Liu Kun stated that all instructors would fulfill their responsibilities with a high sense of responsibility and mission to ensure the successful completion of the military training tasks. Li Mingyang, on behalf of all freshmen, expressed their expectations and determination for military training, stating that they would strictly abide by military training discipline, strive to improve their own qualities, and write their youthful stories at Sias.
In tandem with this mobilization meeting, the Digital Technology School of our university, located on the Zhengzhou campus, was also holding a military training mobilization meeting. Vice President Zhao Yuxin was present to guide the work. He encouraged freshmen to strengthen their will, train hard, and use military training as an opportunity to temper themselves and improve their qualities. At the same time, he also encouraged military training instructors to train strictly and organize training scientifically, play a good guiding and exemplary role, and work together to help freshmen take this important "first lesson."
This mobilization meeting and instructor appointment ceremony not only clarified the goals and requirements of the military training work but also stimulated the training enthusiasm and patriotic sentiment of all freshmen.
