To comprehensively enhance the development level and management capabilities of characteristic colleges in Henan Province's undergraduate universities, the Characteristic College Deans' Training Program, hosted by the Henan Provincial Education Department and organized by Sias, was successfully held from July 14 to 16, 2025, on the 7th floor of the Student Activity Center. A total of 113 deans of characteristic colleges from undergraduate universities across the province participated in this intensive study program.

Focused on the core theme of "connotation construction and high-quality development of characteristic colleges," the training invited renowned experts including Professor Xu Shoukun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Changzhou University; Professor Ding Wuxiu, President of Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology; Professor Cao Wujun, Director of the Institute of Management Science and Decision-Making at Zhengzhou University; and Professor Chen Wei, Dean of the Guangdong-Taiwan Industrial Technology College at Dongguan University of Technology. The curriculum closely revolved around key areas such as systematic design reform of industry-education integration in application-oriented universities, digital intelligence-empowered high-quality applied talent cultivation, strategies for promoting industry-education-research integration targeting regional industries, and practical exploration of modern industrial college construction.

Participants unanimously praised the training for its clear theme, cutting-edge content, well-organized structure, and strong practical relevance. This program established a high-level learning and exchange platform, fully demonstrating the Henan Provincial Education Department's high emphasis on characteristic college development and deans' capacity building. It will play a significant role in empowering high-quality development of characteristic colleges in Henan's undergraduate universities and enhancing their capacity to serve regional economic and social development.
