Military Training
Sias University's annual Military Training Parade is the culmination of the two-week Freshman Military Training. Military training is a part of Chinese law and encourages military service, national defense, and education. The purpose of the training is the creation of a reserve force, the building of discipline among students for their education, and to teach them to deal with all kinds of challenges. Leaders hope that through the military training students will learn to develop their morality, intelligence, physical fitness, mental discipline, and work ethic.
All universities in China are required to implement the educational policies of the Communist Party of China and Xi Jinping's socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics. Freshman military training is a long-standing tradition in universities across the country.
In the past year, military training has also involved education concerning the prevention and control of the Coronavirus pandemic.
