Sias University's 2020 Freshman Military Parade was held on September 27 at the Track & Field Stadium. The Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Executive President, Wang Jialin, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Vice President, Zhao Yuxin, Vice President, Xu Shengdao, and Vice President and Chairman of the Trade Union, Wu Hua, were all present. The Party Secretary of the Taiyuan University of Technology, Prof. Zheng Qiang, was the chief guest at the parade. Leaders from the Communist Party Committee, and leaders of the military training corps, watched the parade. The Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office and Executive Vice President of the General Office of the Residential Colleges, Bai Meng, hosted the event.

The parade began with the singing of the national anthem of the People's Republic of China. The parade involved the Sias Honor Guard, followed by performances by students from the freshmen of the 2020/21 academic year.

During the parade, the freshmen put on performances that included various formations celebrating Sias, China, and the successful prevention and control of the Coronavirus pandemic.

After the performances, Sias leaders and the head of the Military Training Corps announced the winners of the 2020 Freshmen Choral Competition, the best individuals in military training, the excellent tutors in military training, the excellent instructors, and the outstanding team in military training.

Dr. Chen delivered a speech and congratulated the freshmen on completing their military training. He said that the students should not be afraid to face difficulties, as that was part of the Sias spirit. He said that he hoped that they would carry forward the lessons learned in their training throughout their lives.

The parade ended with the singing of the patriotic song, "Ode to the Motherland".
