Sias University's annual Freshman Military Parade was held on September 15, at the Track & Field Stadium. The annual event also celebrated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Executive President, Wang Jialin, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Vice President, Wu Hua, and Prof. Guo Junfeng, were all present, along with the Chief of Staff of the Military Training Corps for the freshmen of the 2019/20 academic year. Li Huafeng presided over the event.

After the singing of the national anthem of the People's Republic of China, and following the Honor Guard and military parade, there were several performances by the freshmen.

The performances included mass coordinated displays that celebrated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The displays included messages such as "1949-2019", "I Love You, China", "70th Birthday", "Long Live the Motherland", "China Dream", etc.

Li Huafeng then read out the winners of awards for the military training instructors, as well as those for the best teams and best performing teams of the 2019/2020 freshmen. The awards were presented by Li Huafeng, Wang Jialin, Ma Jiansheng, and the Chief of Staff of the Military Training Corps.

In his concluding speech, Dr. Shawn Chen said that he was impressed by the perseverance and the performances of the freshmen. He said that it showed the spirit of China and their love for their motherland.
