On September 17, Sias International University held its annual Freshman Military Training Parade at the Track & Field Stadium. The Founder and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Shawn Chen, Sias President, Chen Sikun, Executive President, Wang Jialin, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Vice President, Wu Hua, and Assistant Principal, Guo Xuede, were present at the parade. The Head of the 2018 Freshman Military Training Corps, Hu Jiangtao, was also present, as were delegations from Zhejiang University, the Sias Foundation, Southwest Behavioral Health Service (Arizona, USA), and IPH Schools (Surabaya, Indonesia).

After the playing of the Chinese national anthem, the military instructors and freshmen held a parade with marches, banners, and performances. They were inspected by Chen Sikun and Hu Jiangtao.

The parade was followed by demonstrations of military skills, boxing, and choral performances. There were also formations created by the freshmen in honor of Sias' 20th anniversary celebrations.

Guo Xuede read out the Military Training Oath for all those involved with the 2018 Military Training. Then, Wu Hua, Wang Jialin, and Hu Jiangtao presented awards to the top performers during the military training among students, teachers, and instructors. Li Huafeng presented the awards for the best training teams and performers, and Chen Sikun presented awards for the winning units.

Dr. Shawn Chen delivered a speech in which he congratulated the freshmen on completing their military training, and thanked the instructors. He said that he hoped that students would apply the resilience and self-discipline that they learned in the military training to their student life, and work-life later on. He also encouraged them to hold to the values learned at Sias and contribute to the progress of the nation.

The Military Training Parade concluded with the singing of the Sias Anthem.
