Sias' official Beijing Alumni Association held its annual New Year celebration on January 7 at Plug and Play's China headquarters in the Haidian District of Beijing. In attendance were Sias Proctor, Han Xiaoai, Assistant Principal, Guo Xuede, and heads of certain departments at Sias. The event brought together 120 members of the Sias Alumni Association.

Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, sent a congratulatory video message from the United States and wished the alumni members for the New Year. He also encouraged them to continue to visit Sias and actively participate in the continued development of their alma mater. Sias Proctor, Han Xiaoai, delivered a speech and urged those present to strive toward greater progress in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. Assistant Principal Guo Xuede presented a video and pictures of the new Sias Library and also encouraged alumni members to visit Sias.

The theme of the subsequent forum was 'The Spirit of the Internet', and it focused on an exchange of entrepreneurial analysis. Han Xiaoai and Guo Xuede spent the rest of the event interacting with the alumni members, enquiring about their work and life. They said that the continued meeting of Sias alumni in Beijing would greatly help in the development of the university.
