Sias University held its annual High Table Banquet on November 8. The High Table Banquet, held during the 21st International Culture Week, was set up to improve students' etiquette and international awareness, as well as showcase Sias' international education. The chief guests included the Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department at the Henan Department of Education, Xu Hengzhen, the Founder and Executive Partner of Qianhai Purui Fund Management, Yang Yi, the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Information Infrastructure at Zadar University in Croatia, Ivanka Stričević, member of the External Communications Department of the Association Promotion D'exchanges Franco-Chinois, Julian Chang, and the China Cross-Border Manager of Plug and Play, Garnett Ge. The Sias leadership was also present including the Founder and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Shawn Chen, Executive President, Wang Jialin, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, Vice President, Zhao Yuxin, Vice President, Xu Shengdao, as well as heads of various departments. Nearly 400 students, teachers, and guests attended the High Table Banquet. The Banquet was hosted by the Director of the Office of International Affairs, Yue Junliang.

After the Red Carpet entry for students, Dr. Chen introduced the guests and delivered a speech. He said that he hoped that through the High Table Banquet, students would learn more about Western culture, broaden their international vision, take part in social activities, build their confidence, learn table manners and etiquette, and improve their communication.

Yang Yi spoke of his academic and work experience and encouraged students to make full use of the educational resources at Sias while appreciating their cultural heritage. He said that the international platform that Sias provided would give them a multi-cultural experience and broaden their vision.

Dr. Chen and Yang Yi then jointly raised the toast at the Banquet.
