At the Yellow River Education Awards and 10th Summit Forum for Higher Education in Henan, organized by Henan Daily, Sias University was awarded the title of "Top 10 Universities for Public Satisfaction" in Henan. The summit celebrated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and was held at the Yellow River Yingbin Hotel in Zhengzhou. Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, represented Sias at the Summit.

The 2019 Yellow River Education Awards are based on votes gathered from social media (WeChat), internet surveys, newspaper promotions, and video interviews. After the collation of the data, the nominees were evaluated by experts. The 10 universities that won the Public Satisfaction Award for Henan were Zhengzhou University, Henan University, Henan Normal University, Henan Polytechnic University, Henan University of Chinese Medicine, Henan University of Technology, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, Henan University of Economics and Law, and Sias University.

The Summit Forum also discussed and had exchanges on topics such as innovation, specializations, branding, and the diversification of higher education in Henan. They also addressed issues with regard to the speeding up of the promotion of scientific research and the innovation of higher education. The Director of the Center for Educational Development at the Ministry of Education, Liu Chengbo, spoke about the new requirements for economic and social transition and development with regard to the improvement of higher education. Over 10 university leaders also shared their experiences in relation to the development of high-quality innovation in higher education.

Sias University will continue to use achievements and opportunities such as these to intensify its efforts to increase the quality of its educational resources, both domestically and internationally, as it leads the way among innovative private universities in Henan with regard to education and contributions in the Central Plains of China.
