The Dean of the School of Marxism at the Nanfang College of Sun Yat-Sen University, Wang Lirong, visited Sias University on April 16. She was accompanied by the Secretary of the Party Committee and Acting Minister of the Student Work Department, Cheng Aimin, and the Vice Minister of the Student Work Department, Chen Sisi.

The delegation was taken on a campus tour of Sias that included Student Entrepreneurial Stores, Mingli Residential College, CUBA Training Facility, Golf Driving Range, Student Activity Center, and Library. After the campus tour, the delegation met with Sias President, Chen Sikun, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Huafeng, and heads of the Administration Office, the Student Affairs Office, and the School of Marxism. The Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office, Chu Jinjin, presided over the meeting.

After the delegation was shown the official Sias promotional video, Chen Sikun welcomed the delegation and gave a detailed introduction to the development, educational philosophy, internationalization, international exchanges, and residential college system of Sias. He said that this year was an important year for Sias as it was the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, as well as the 20th anniversary of Sias. He added that Sias had continuously adhered to national education policies while implementing a holistic education based on its East-meets-West educational philosophy. The goal, he said, was to nurture internationalized talents with a broad perspective. As the only private university in Henan to have a School of Marxism, Sias had set itself apart from other universities with regard to education, training, and its contributions to the region. He concluded by saying that he hoped that Sias University and Sun Yat-Sen University would learn from each other and increase exchanges in the future. He also invited Wang Lirong and his delegation to attend Sias' 20th Anniversary Celebrations in May.

Wang Lirong spoke in detail about Sun Yat-Sen University and said that she hoped that they would learn from Sias' educational philosophy, management, and international campus.

Cheng Aimin spoke of the history of Sun Yat-Sen University, while Chu Jinjin spoke in detail about Sias' residential college system. The Dean of the School of Marxism, Guo Xuede, spoke of the ideological and political education for teachers and students at Sias. The meeting ended with in-depth discussions about exchanges, educational models, and university management.
