On April 16, for the opening of the 12th International Forum on Huang Di Culture, Sias International University was visited by National People's Congress Representative, Song Fengnian. As the Party Secretary of Song Zhai Village in the Zhengzhou City administrative region, Song Fengnian has held 5 consecutive terms in the National People's Congress. He is also a recipient of the National Model Workers Award, the May 5th Labor Medal, and the Outstanding Communist Party Member Award in Henan. The Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, met with Song Fengnian, as did Sias President, Dr. Chen Sikun, and Assistant Principal, Guo Xuede.

After a campus tour, Dr. Chen Sikun introduced and explained Sias' development history, architectural style, educational philosophy in detail. Song Fengnian said that while he had heard a lot about Sias International University, he had never been able to visit and see it up close. He said that he was impressed by the open international campus at Sias, the student-oriented educational ideas, and the achievements over the past 20 years. He also congratulated Dr. Shawn Chen on his work in founding and developing Sias.
