On September 21, the Deputy Governor of Henan Province, Xu Jichao, visited Sias International University. He was accompanied by the Deputy Secretary-General of the Henan Provincial Government, Huang Buyi; the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee of Higher Education, and Deputy Secretary of Henan Provincial Party Committee, Zheng Banshan; the Director of 7 Divisions in the General Office of the Henan Provincial Government, Zhao Yuhe; the Deputy Director of the Henan Provincial Department of Education, Xue Zuolin; the Director of the Private Education Department at the Henan Provincial Department of Education, Li Min; and the Director of the Higher Education Department at the Henan Provincial Department of Education, Tang Duoyi. The delegation came to inspect the development progress and educational facilities at Sias.

The Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, Sias President, Dr. Chen Sikun, and the Executive Vice President, Dong Qiming, accompanied the delegation on a tour of several teaching centers including those for economic management, trade, and international business negotiation. They also visited the School of Opera, and the School of Music, including recording studios, the Concert Hall, the Computer Music Production Laboratory, and the Experimental Music Performance Center.

The delegation also visited the New Sias Library where they were given an introduction to the design concept and innovation within the library. They visited several sections of the library including the Digital Application Experience Center, reading rooms, and multimedia rooms. They also toured Sias Cafeterias and interacted with teachers and students to gain an understanding of life at Sias. Deputy Governor Xu Jichao said that Sias' Library embodied the very goals that the government sought for education, and was at the forefront of innovative design in China.

In a speech, Deputy Governor Xu Jichao said that Sias had left a deep impression on him as a modern international university that fully exhibited the kind of internationalization and cultural exchange between China and the West that would enrich the student experience and provide a multicultural platform for the region. He said that he hoped that Sias would continue to introduce and promote advanced education and help in the reform and all-round development of private education in China.
