On the afternoon of May 26, Sias International University was visited by a delegation of city council members from several cities in California. There were also executives from the Silicon Valley Association and senior executives from 'Plug and Play' Tech Center among the delegation. The visit was in response to invites by Dr. Shawn Chen, the Chairman of the Board of Sias.

The delegation from California included the Vice Mayor of Atherton, Michael Lempres; Mayor Pro Tem of Brisbane, Lori Schnitzer Liu; Mayor of Dublin, David Haubert; Mayor of the City of Half Moon Bay, Richard Kowalczyk; Mayor of Menlo Park, Kirsten Keith; Vice Mayor of the City of Morgan Hill, Marilyn Librers; Mayor of Mountain View, Patricia Showalter; Vice Mayor of Richmond, Eduardo Martinez; and Mayor of the City of San Gabriel, Jason Pu.

The executives from 'Plug and Play' Tech Center were Corporate Counsel, Marc Steiner; Director of China Partnerships, Claire Xiong; and Incoming Business Development Associate, Sze Hsin-Hung. The Silicon Valley Association. Other delegates were the President of the Silicon Valley Association, Yang Wang; Executive Director of the Silicon Valley Association, Yan Liang; CEO of the Amidi Zhuhai Group, Henry Zhao; Zhengzhou Airport Economic Experimental Zone Party Committee Secretary, Zhang Yanming; Zhengzhou Airport Economic Experimental Zone Business Secretary, Wang Fei; and Xinzheng Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary, Liu Jianwu.

There was a grand welcoming ceremony for the delegation including an honor guard and military band performance. The delegation toured the campus and was introduced to Sias' history, achievements, and East-meets-West educational philosophy.
